Team BC Para Powerlifter Highlight: Isaiah @isaiahchristophe
Hello, my name is Isaiah Christophe! I have participated in sports for the past 20+ years primarily in para athletics. I have also participated in wheelchair basketball as well as sledge hockey.
Last year, I decided I wanted to explore and try a different sport and the opportunity came up with powerlifting thanks to a few connections. I've always enjoyed the idea of being in the gym, so I believe trying out para powerlifting was an easy choice. So far, I don't have any regrets! I have met some amazing people both coaches and athletes and have been able to learn quite a bit in such a short time. It has taken some time to get used to the rules of the sport but I am always willing to learn and continue to get better. I believe that I have become much stronger, and I am looking forward to seeing the gains I can make and where things can go if I continue to stick with it. My main goal is to compete at the 2028 Paralympic Games in LA whether that be in Para-athletics or para powerlifting
