Para Powerlifting

  • What is it?

    Powerlifting has been on the Paralympic Games program since 1984. Para powerlifting is the test of the upper body as athletes perform an intense feet of strength in the category of bench press. The goal is to essentially lift the most in kilograms.

    Who Qualifies?

    Para Powerlifting is open to athletes with one or multiple of the eight eligible physical impairments. This includes but is not limited to:

    Limb Deficiency, Leg Length Difference, Short Stature, & Neurological Impairment that affects the lower limbs
